News for summer 2010: our overnight guests travel free of charge in the Rosenlaui!
Our tip: Arrive the relaxing way. The excellent public transportation system of Switzerland brings you by train to Meiringen. There a Postauto drives you free of charge and reliably to Rosenlaui where your hotel room awaits you. (Timetables under "getting here")
From the beginning of the Postauto season on the 15th of May 2010, all our guests with overnight accommodation can travel free of charge over the entire distance between Meiringen and Gridelwald during their stay, including both arrival and departure days. As soon as you receive your reservation confirmation an appropriate coupon for the journey will be sent to you and to Reception. If you reserve by telephone, please request the Postauto coupon with your reservation confirmation or tell Reception that you are interested in the Postauto coupon (particularly important if the reservation is made at short notice!), so that we can inform the Postauto driver. Thanks to uncomplicated co-operation between Bern Postauto and the Grindelwald bus it is sufficient to identify yourself as a Rosenlaui Guest and give your name and reservation dates to receive complimentary travel.

Tourist rooms
Very simple 2 bed room equipped with woolen blankets. The rooms are without a mountain view. Please bring your own sleeping bag and towels. Shared showers and toilets.

- Time has left our Hotel mostly untouched. Our comfortable and welcoming communal lounge offers books, newspapers, games and much space for good company and conversation. You may not even notice that we have no TV, Radio or Internet! Please note also that we do not have a lift in the Hotel.
- Pets are not allowed in Hotel Rosenlaui.
- Rosenlaui has no reception for mobile phones.
- Payment can be made in cash (Swiss Francs or Euro), with EC (Maestro) or Postcard.
- Our rooms are ready for check-in at 14.00
- The best nightlife in Rosenlaui is the view of the starry sky. So that all guests can enjoy the peace and quiet, we always close our restaurant by 11 pm.
